Catching up

WOW. Almost two years since last post. My sister Kathy is visiting and told me she has started a blog which reminded me of mine, so I thought I should catch up.

Baby bear is now almost three years old and is so dang cute. His newest things are to take his arms out of his shirt and pull it down to his waist as a "shirt skirt" as DH calls it. He loves to study books and is mostly great at going to bed at night.

J is finishing up 6th grade and just got his country report assignment to research Hungary. He really wanted Australia. He is growing up nicely. He bought an MGP scooter and has gotten really great at tricks on it. He even got his oldest brother interested in trying it out.

Dh just received his 7th year driving safety award at the annual banquet in Salt Lake City. He is working on cleaning  out his garage in order to put the Mustang in there and start working on it. He is still working in Cub Scouts.

At the airport flying to Salt Lake
I was recently changed from Wolf den leader to Pack Leader trainer. A whole new adventure for me. Recently had to start wearing bi-focals!! I am working on Family History and love feeling connected to my ancestors.
We look forward to a trip to the beach coming up.
Enjoyed visiting with my sister here from Canada.
Oh, and we recently acquired a dog. Dallas is 6 yrs. old and is a lab/golden retriever mix. He never tires of playing fetch.

But most importantly, we became an eternal family on March 3rd. in the Salt Lake temple. Such a special experience it's hard to put into the words to express the tender, special feelings we felt.

Baby Bear

Baby bear turns one on Sunday. We had his b-day party last Saturday--complete with bounce house (which he didn't care for at all). The older kids enjoyed the bounce house, of course.

He stands up and will take 5 or six steps, when he wants too :) His latest thing is to put his face down in his bath water and try to drink it!! YUCK! Dad says we should give him showers instead.

Made it!

Twenty four hours plus without sugar!! Yesterday was difficult, today is better.......so far. Sugar is in EVERYTHING. So far I have eaten natural oatmeal, a lot of broccoli, Reliv shakes and consumed LOTS of water. I am waiting anxiously for my delivery of essential oils--hopefully it will arrive today. Even J is excited to start feeling better. I have such an awesome husband who is willing to try new things. I know this is only going to help.

Welcome May and HOT weather

Second post in four months-wow!!!
A few things have happened.
In March DH and I flew to UT for for a DI awards banquet where DH received an award. It was a great quick getaway. First time we left baby bear overnight. I was glad to get home to him.
Two weeks later we took the family to CA. for Spring break. Disneyland was fun, but I enjoyed the beach more (and always!!i)
J is doing great in school. I can't believe he is going into 5th grade next year. He was given a mountain bike a few weeks ago and has been practicing doing everything he sees his brother do (who gave him the bike). He recently achieved his Bear in Cub Scouts.

Oh, ya. I work with the Wolf scouts now-seven of them.

Baby bear is 10 1/2 months old, has seven teeth and is a speed crawler-or I'm just too old to keep up with him!! I like the speed crawler theory.

DH is Cubmaster assistant and enjoys working with the boys.
So the real reason for updating my blog.................................SUGAR!!

Ya. I am purging it from my diet and my system. It's not good, the sugar that is. I am learning healthier ways to live and better choices to make. I have to get better. I am too young to feel this old!
